O que você não sabia sobre Chinese Rocks (Entrevista com Dee Dee Ramone)

Trecho da aclamadíssima e polêmica entrevista com Dee Dee que deu um documentário: Hey Is Dee Dee Home, dirigido por Lech Kowalski, gravado em 1992, porém lançado oficialmente apenas em 2002 no Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente.

A tradução é uma colaboração completa e independente de Álvaro Ramone. Todos nós agradecemos de joelhos essa colaboração, rapá! Aí vai então um trecho do documentário legendado em português. A parte do documentário que Dee Dee comenta a respeito de Chinese Rocks.

Produção vai se basear em I Slept With Joey Ramone, livro de memórias de Mickey Leigh, irmão do frontman do grupo punk.

A trajetória dos Ramones, banda seminal do punk, vai ser contada nos cinemas, com roteiro baseado em I Slept With Joey Ramone ("eu dormi com Joey Ramone"), biografia escrita por Mickey Leigh, irmão do líder do grupo.

De acordo com o blog Risky Business (incorporado ao site The Hollywood Reporter), o projeto, que começou de forma independente, foi abraçado pela Fox Searchlight, divisão do estúdio especializada em filmes indies (exemplo: o vencedor do Oscar Quem Quer Ser Um Milionário?).

A cinebiografia tem roteiro assinado a quatro mãos - além de Leigh, o filme conta com Legs McNeil, cronista das antigas do movimento punk.

Nascido Jeffrey Hyman e vítima de um linfoma fatal em 2001, Joey Ramone - que consagrou, entre muitos versos, o bordão punk "Hey, ho, let's go", será o foco da história.

Contemporâneo dos britânicos Clash e Sex Pistols, o Ramones foi a força punk por excelência dos Estados Unidos. O legado musical da banda, encerrada em 1996, carrega hinos como "I Wanna Be Sedated" e "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker".

Comprar os direitos para adaptar o livro às telonas - e também para usar a música do conjunto na trilha - não foi tarefa fácil. A produção ainda está sendo negociada por Rory Rosegarten, produtor executivo do extinto sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond - ele se empenha em levar a vida de Joey Ramone às telonas desde pelo menos 2006, quando o filme foi noticiado pela primeira vez.

O projeto ainda não tem diretor e elenco selecionados.

A trajetória do grupo punk não é inédita no cinema - um exemplo é o documentário End of the Century (2004) e a comédia teen Rock 'n' Roll High School (que deve ganhar remake). Mas o projeto da Fox será pioneiro na abordagem ficcional da trajetória dos Ramones.

'I Slept With Joey Ramone' lançará versão russa

Tarakany! é uma famosa banda punk russa ( talvez a mais conhecida), inclusive Marky Ramone tocou com eles em várias ocasiões e lugares (na foto, show na Suécia em 2005).

O vocalista, Dmitry Dima Spirin surgiu com uma idéia que chamou de People's Translation, que se refere ao livro I Slept With Joey Ramone: A Family Memoir

MGL2R, que é um fodão do www.ramones.ru (um dos sites mais fodas sobre Ramones por aí), explicou depois a Jari Pekka (outro dono de um site muito foda sobre Ramones) depois que perguntou sobre o grande projeto.

- Dima ficou muito animado sobre a história toda (do livro), e convidou Jari Pekka, que aceitou, para fazer parte do projeto. Não há livros ou filmes sobre os Ramones traduzido em russo, somente Please Kill Me. A tradução já está sendo realizada desde fevereiro. Mais tarde, Dima surgiu com a idéia de "People's Translation. Isso significa que todo mundo que quiser ajudar pode se juntar à equipe. Cerca de 30 entusiastas responderam até 3 de março. Semanalmente, os capítulos traduzidos serão postados no blog oficial da Tarakany!. O prólogo e os 3 primeiros capítulos já estão pronto, e o quarto está a caminho (lembre-se que essa notícia é de 3 de março, o que nos leva a crer que eles já estão no sexto capítulo).
